I feel really lucky! Lower Farm is such a lovely yard. My happy place, and Remmie's! Spending a morning here after 4 long days in London definitely makes it all worthwhile

Being the more nervous rider, Vicky helped me look for the right horse. She has spent endless hours helping me to improve my confidence with lots of schooling and lessons. She has been very patient and so encouraging. I can't rate the yard highly enough, and the help I have received has been invaluable.

I love the yard, and feel very lucky to be a part of it. Letty has really settled in, and I can't believe how relaxed she is since arriving. Lower Farm is definitely my happy place. Lovely people and lovely horses.

This is defo the best yard ever. Everyone is just so lovely and supportive. Vicky and Alan are amazing. Mika and I are very lucky girls xxx

I am very happy to be part of this lovely yard. It has such a friendly atmosphere - something that I really appreciate after being at other yards where you can feel judged or unwelcome. I know that my horse will always be taken care of, and feel relaxed when I am away, in the knowledge that Vicky and her team will look after her with the utmost of care.

Another huge difference to previous yards that I have been at, is the very consistent and attentive staff. Really good communication prevents problems when changes of feed/care/routine/medication occur.

I love the fact that Alan does not restrict turnout during the winter, so it doesn't matter if I am unable to exercise every day. I also really appreciate having Vicky on hand to school and exercise my horse whenever necessary. She rides with competence and sensitivity. It is an added bonus to be able to have lessons with her, as she knows my horse so well, and has a great way of getting the best out of both of us.

If you are looking for a yard which has the best interests of you and your horse at heart, then look no further!

Owners are very professional with their business and very accommodating for the needs of their Full/Part and Assisted DIY's. Genuinely caring people in all aspects of running a yard.

For me, the yard has been well thought out, giving each stable area their own water facilities. All stables are of a good size with their own large storage space which isn't possible at most other yards. The most important focus is that you and your horse are welcomed into the yard with the intention that you feel relaxed, and able to come and go freely at very reasonable, open times.

The paddocks are managed, cleaned and fertilised on a regular basis with a good rotation for the horses.

Fortunately, a very friendly and comfortable yard to be accommodated at!

"Maggie and I have been at Lower Farm for 15 years. It was THE best move I ever made. Apart from the beautiful surrounding countryside and scenery, the school is huge, and the support we get from Vicky and Alan is second to none. All the horses are happy and settled, which means their owners are too!"                                          Jane

My daughter and I have had Arthur on Part Livery at Lower Farm for over 2 years now. The yard is a friendly place to be, and the care that Arthur gets is all that we could wish for in terms of knowledge and keeping an eye on him. The best thing for us is seeing how he's settled into himself since we've arrived, and dropped (most of!) the 'cobtitude!'

Great facilities, safe hacking round the farm and fantastic Ashridge hacking nearby.

Very happy!

"Jaffa and I have been at Lower Farm nearly 8 years. We relocated from Hampshire where I'd been at a previous yard for 9 years, so it was a big adjustment. People could not have been friendlier and more helpful as I got to know the horsey area, recommending good vets and farriers. Jaffa settled instantly into her new home. The yard has a really relaxed feel and the horses get excellent care. Jaffa can be colicky but I never feel worried leaving her in the care of the staff as they are quick to pick up on it and act. Highly recommend."
